Then our panel of experts from Maine’s nonprofit sector will share how companies can implement simple systems to give back. Learn how corporate social responsibility can improve your brand perception and help you engage more with your clients and employees while making positive change and impact on your community.

Adam Lee, Chairman of the Board, Lee Auto Malls

Adam Lee has been with Lee Auto Mall for 36 years, serving as President and assuming the position of Chairman of the Board in June 2010 upon the passing of his father, Shep Lee.  He currently serves on the Muskie Board of Visitors and the Maine Conservation Voters Board and is the incoming Chair of the Maine Public Board. Lee served as the Chairman of the Efficiency Maine Trust and Chair of the Maine Audubon Corporate Partners.  He is the past chairman of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative and a past member of the Natural Resources Council of Maine, Maine Historical Society, Maine Energy Council, Governor’s Advisory Council, Center for Cultural Exchange and the OSHER Map Library.    

Over the last 25 years, Lee has worked hard in conjunction with various environmental groups to raise fuel economy standards across the nation. He’s proud of the successful accomplishment that will raise the national standards to 54.5 MPG’s by 2025. Lee is a graduate of Vassar College and the recipient of environmental awards from the Natural Resources Council of Maine and the Maine League of Conservation Voters. Adam Lee lives in Cumberland with his wife and 26 year old twins, 2 cats, 2 dogs, and anywhere from 6 to 8 chickens depending upon the fox. 

Jamie Door, Executive Director and Founder, Midcoast Community Alliance

Jamie Dorr is the Executive Director and Founder of Midcoast Community Alliance, a grassroots community coalition that began in July 2016 after several youth suicide losses in the Bath area. Since that time, Jamie has been instrumental in creating innovative solutions to previously unmet needs in Sagadahoc County, Brunswick and Harpswell to ensure youth are supported and equipped to thrive. She developed Midcoast Youth Center, which yearly serves over 600 youth with a safe place to go after school and operates the adjoining Bath Skatepark, the largest indoor skatepark in Maine. Working with partners, she developed the Merrymeeting Support Collaborative for Youth Experiencing Homelessness, a partnership between Midcoast Youth Center and school districts RSU1 and MSAD75, which serves over 60 homeless
children and teens each year. Her leadership was crucial to Sagadahoc County community receiving a Working Communities Challenge grant from the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston with the goal of reducing youth hopelessness and creating a diverse web of youth supports. Her work has earned 15 awards at the local, county, and state level, as well as 2019 Difference Maker of the Year from the New England Patriots. She lives in Bath with her husband of 25 years. Together they have two young adult sons and enjoy spending summers on Chebeague Island.

Kristen Crean, President of the Board, Greater Portland Family Promise

A Maine native and nonprofit fundraising professional for more than 25 years, Kristen is the Director of Advancement at Heronfield Academy in Hampton Falls, NH. Her past experiences include serving as Executive Director of the Tate House Museum; Director of Development at Spurwink; Director of Advancement and Alumni Relations at Fryeburg Academy; and development and communications positions at Sweetser, Maine Medical Center, and Ingraham (now The Opportunity Alliance). Kristen is actively engaged in a variety of community organizations and has served on numerous nonprofit boards and committees. She is a past president of the Junior League of Portland, Maine and is currently serving as president of the board of Greater Portland Family Promise. She is also an active member at Woodfords Congregational Church. Kristen holds a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Smith College and a Master of Arts in Education from The College of William and Mary. She is also a graduate of the Chi Class of Leadership Maine through Maine Development Foundation.
