Portside Real Estate Group is proud to announce that their popular Pins For Cure raised over $26,000 for the Maine Cancer Foundation on Thursday, April 25, 2024.
Portside Real Estate Group’s Pins For a Cure made its return after a five-year hiatus. Last held in 2019, this signature Portside Foundation event features a bowling tournament, bites + brews, a silent auction, and a raffle for a Maine staycation.
Maine Cancer Executive Director Ray Ruby was thrilled to see the return of the event and the continued collaboration, he had this to say “The partnership between Maine Cancer Foundation and Portside Real Estate Group combines our shared goals of stronger communities and a healthier tomorrow across Maine. Only Portsiders could bring an event back in person and make it better than ever.”
The 2024 event raised a record-setting amount for Maine Cancer of $26,000 - the most ever raised at one singular Portside Foundation Event. “With this record-breaking Pins For a Cure event, their support of our work has surpassed $90,000 to date,” said Ruby “ This is such a special relationship for us!”
Portside owner/founder Dava Davin also reflected on the success of the event, sharing, “We are incredibly proud of the overwhelming response to Pins for a Cure and our support of the Maine Cancer Foundation. The enthusiasm and generosity of everyone who participated truly captures the spirit of Maine, reflecting our community's heart and reinforcing our commitment to making a meaningful impact.” Portside’s community fundraising efforts will continue this year with Autumn Equinox at Maine Audubon in September.
